We need your support…

The Oceana County Road Commission (OCRC) and the Friends of the Pentwater Hart Trail (FPHT) are in the process of preparing a grant application for Phase 3 and the final phase of the Pentwater Hart Trail (PHT).

The OCRC will be the grant applicant applying for partial funding from the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) that will assist with the construction of the PHT between Hart, Michigan, and the west end of the bridge on Longbridge Road in Pentwater Township.

Phase 3 will be the final 5.2 miles of the 9-mile PHT within Oceana County, The trail will be beneficial in many ways to our residents and visitors as well. These trail benefits have been proven over years via various studies and surveys - that property values will increase, tourism dollars will increase, people who use the trail regularly will see an increase in health and social interaction with others. The completion of the PHT will also eliminate one of three “trail gaps” within the West Michigan region, making a potential 240-mile loop trail one step closer to becoming reality.

What can you do to help. We are providing you a letter of support template. You can use this template as your letter of support, or as a guide to craft your own letter of support for the PHT, Phase 3 project. When we receive your letter of support, we will include it in the TAP grant application.

Once you are done with the letter of support or have any questions please send the letter, or questions, to info@pentwaterharttrail.com

          Thank You.
